You handle the claims. Who handles yours?
Errors and omissions, general liability, cyber and auto coverage for independent adjusters, public adjusters and actuarial consulting firms.

Estimates, settlements and models
Adjusters get sued over the claims they handle. A policyholder says a public adjuster missed damage or a deadline; a carrier or firm says an independent adjuster's estimate was wrong. California licenses both, and public adjusters must work under a written contract on a form the Insurance Commissioner approves, so the paperwork itself can become part of a dispute.
Actuarial firms face a different version: a reserve study, a rate model or a pension valuation that a client relied on. I quote E&O written for your exact work, then add cyber for the claim files and personal data you hold, and auto or hired auto for field inspections.
- Errors and omissionsMistakes in estimates, settlements or models.
- General liabilityInjuries during inspections and office visits.
- Cyber liabilityClaim files, medical and personal data.
- AutoField adjusting and catastrophe deployments.

- Lines: property, auto, casualty, workers' comp, life.
- Licenses: states and license numbers.
- Volume: claims or engagements a year.
- Revenue and staff: annual figures.

Adjuster insurance, answered
Do insurers require E&O from independent adjusters?
Many adjusting firms and carriers do, with set limits. Send me their vendor requirements and I'll quote to them.
Is public adjuster E&O hard to place?
It's a narrower market than most professional lines, and much of it is written by specialty markets. A clean contract file and complaint history help a lot.
Does E&O cover a Department of Insurance complaint?
Some policies include license or regulatory defense, often with a sub-limit, subject to the policy terms. I point out which ones do.
I deploy for catastrophes. Is my car covered?
Your personal auto may not cover business use at that level. I look at hired and non-owned auto or a business auto policy for field work.
Do you offer adjuster and actuary insurance outside California?
Yes. Clients across the country send the same quote form. Sam Alishahi is licensed in 48 states and Washington, DC and places policies there directly. In Florida and Washington, where Sam's licenses are still being issued, a partner agency in your state helps in the meantime. The shopping across carriers works the same way. Rules, minimums and markets differ by state — see insurance requirements by state.

Tell me what kind of adjusting or actuarial work you do, and I'll compare E&O markets that write it.
