Who insures unusual risks?

Hunting clubs, fireworks, exotic animals, cannabis, vacant buildings, tow trucks, kidnap and ransom: the classes most carriers decline. For each one, the insurers, MGAs, program administrators and Lloyd's coverholders that publicly say they write it, with the source page and the date it was read.

119 niches, each with at least two named markets. Read on each market's own appetite page; nothing here is a quote or a promise to bind.

How these pages are built

Each page lists markets whose own published appetite, product or program page says they write the class. A market is listed only with that page and the date it was read; nothing is taken from directories that forbid reuse, from behind a login, or from a search summary. Appetites change, so the linked page controls. The insurance company directory shows where each insurer is admitted or eligible for surplus lines, by state.

I'm licensed in 49 states and Washington, DC and your request stays with my agency, not passed to another agent. In Florida, where my licenses are still being issued, a partner agency in your state helps in the meantime.

Hard to place?

Send it once. It goes to the markets that write it.

The quote request takes a few minutes; it reaches the markets that take the risk, and the answers come back by email.
