Privacy Policy
Last updated October 11, 2026
This policy explains how Saman Alishahi, doing business as Alishahi Insurance (California Insurance License #4348151), collects, uses and protects information you give through alishahiinsurance.com, the quote-request form, the intake phone line, text messages, and AI assistants such as ChatGPT that connect to this site. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” refer to Sam Alishahi.
Information I collect
- Contact details: your name, business name, phone number, email address and ZIP code.
- Risk and underwriting details you choose to share, such as property addresses, occupancy, construction and roof year, vehicles and drivers, payroll and class codes, current coverage, claims history and renewal dates.
- Call and message records: when you call the intake line, the call may be answered by an automated intake assistant and recorded and transcribed so I can review your request accurately.
- Quote details insurance companies’ rating systems require, if you choose to add them after your request: date of birth, gender, marital status, industry, occupation and education. I use these only to get you quotes.
- Documents you upload with a quote request, such as declarations pages, notices, loss runs, letters or photos. They’re stored securely with your request, only I can open them, and I use them only to review your request and get quotes. Files attached to a form that’s never sent are deleted automatically after 14 days. If you attach your current policy to the quote form, it’s also read by Anthropic’s Claude, an AI service, to fill in the form for you; you can check and change every answer before you send.
- Documents you check with the tools: a contract, lease or certificate of insurance you upload to the contract requirements reader or the certificate checker is sent to Anthropic’s Claude to be read and the result is shown to you. The file isn’t saved by this website, and nothing from it reaches me unless you send the quote form, which then includes the summary shown on the page.
- The website chat: what you type in the chat is sent to Anthropic’s Claude to write the replies, and the conversation is saved for 30 days so I can read it, join it live and follow up, then deleted. If you ask the chat to send a quote request, it sends me the details you confirmed (your name, phone, email and answers), the same way the quote form does. Please don’t type Social Security, license, bank or card numbers there.
- Policies you upload for a coverage review: the coverage review sends your declarations page to Anthropic’s Claude to read it and write the review, emails the review to you, and keeps the document, your name, email and phone with your request so I can follow up with it already read. I may contact you about it; you won’t get texts unless you opt in elsewhere.
- Public business records: business names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses that new businesses file with government registries, such as new USDOT registrations published by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and new contractor licenses published by the Contractors State License Board. I may contact a new business about insurance it needs; tell me you’re not interested and I won’t contact you again.
- Unfinished quote forms: once you enter a phone number or email in the quote form, what you type is saved as you go, even if you don’t send the form, so your request isn’t lost if you’re interrupted.
- Requests sent through an AI assistant: if you ask ChatGPT or another AI assistant that connects to this site to send me a quote request, it sends the details you confirm in that conversation: your name, email, phone number, ZIP code, the coverage you want and the answers you gave. I receive only what the assistant sends, not the rest of your conversation. The assistant’s company handles your conversation under its own privacy policy.
- Basic technical data your browser sends when you visit the site, such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed.
- How you found the site: the page you first landed on, the referring website, campaign tags and, if you clicked a Google ad, the ad click identifier Google adds to the link. This is stored in your browser and sent with your quote request.
If you choose to import your current policy, Canopy Connect (usecanopy.com) signs you in to your insurer and sends me your policy details: coverages and limits, property and vehicle facts, listed drivers and their dates of birth, claims history, and your declarations page. I keep that with your request under the same rules as documents you upload, and I don’t receive or store your insurer login.
Accounts. You can create an account at alishahiinsurance.com/account/register, or sign in at alishahiinsurance.com/account with a password, a one-time link sent to your email, or your Google account. An account holds your name, email, mobile number, ZIP code and date of birth (insurers rate most personal policies on it), plus the answers from your quote requests, so your next request, for any kind of insurance, starts filled in. You can view and update your details in your account, or ask me to delete them. If you use Google, I receive only your name, email address and a Google account identifier, never your Google password. Your account shows the policies I keep on file for you. You can also add a policy you hold with another agent or company by uploading the declarations page or photos of it; that document is sent to Anthropic’s Claude, an AI service, to read the carrier, policy number, dates, premium and coverages, and you can correct what it read. I use those details to remind you, and to remind me, before the policy expires, and to offer to shop it for you. You can remove a policy you added at any time, which deletes it and its documents from your account. You can also request a certificate of insurance from your account; the certificate holder’s name and address, where to send it and what it should show are kept with your account so I can issue it and so you can see its status.
How I use it
- To respond to your request, prepare applications and get quotes from insurance companies and wholesale brokers.
- To bind, service and renew policies, and to send certificates, evidence of insurance and policy documents to you, your lender or escrow when you ask me to.
- To contact you by phone, email or, if you opted in, text message about your request and your policies, including a welcome email from me as soon as you enter your email address in a quote form, a confirmation when you send a request, and up to two follow-up messages if we haven’t connected. Every follow-up email includes a link to stop further follow-ups.
- If you asked for a renewal reminder, one email about six weeks before the renewal date you gave, with a link to stop it.
- If you asked for a quote and didn’t buy, one email shortly before your current policy’s renewal date (from your request or the policy you shared) offering to shop it again, with a link to stop these emails.
- After you become a client, one email asking for an honest Google review. Leaving one is up to you, and nothing is offered in return.
- If a real estate agent, lender, escrow officer or other professional referred you, I tell them how many people they referred, never what you asked about or bought.
- If you’re a client, an occasional email suggesting coverage you don’t have with me, at most one every six months, each with a link to stop these suggestions. Renewal reminders and messages about your policies aren’t affected.
- If you start the quote form but don’t send it, I may contact you personally, by phone or email, about the request you started. Apart from that one welcome email, unfinished forms never trigger automated texts, calls or follow-up emails.
- To understand how visitors use the site, using Google Analytics, which records pages viewed, how you arrived, and actions such as sending a quote request or tapping the phone number. It is not loaded when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
- To measure and improve advertising on Facebook and Instagram, using the Meta Pixel, which tells Meta that a page was viewed, a quote request was sent or the phone number was tapped. It doesn’t send what you type in the form, and it is not loaded when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
- To measure which advertising leads to requests and new clients. If you arrived from a Google ad, I may report to Google that the ad click led to a request or a new client, using the ad click identifier only, so Google can improve ad delivery.
- To meet legal, licensing and recordkeeping obligations.
Who I share it with
I share your information only as needed to place and service your insurance: with insurance companies, managing general agents, wholesale and surplus lines brokers, premium finance companies, and parties you direct me to, such as your lender, escrow officer or property manager. If your request is for a home, vehicle or business outside California, I may pass it to a partner insurance agency in your state so they can help you; they use it only to respond to your request. I also use service providers that help me run the business, including website hosting and lead storage (Cloudflare), form processing, email, phone and text-message delivery, and Canopy Connect if you choose to import your current policy from your insurer, under their own confidentiality obligations. When you use the quote form, what you type is sent to an AI service (Anthropic’s Claude) that checks the request for missing details and writes a short summary for me; it isn’t used to make decisions about coverage, pricing or eligibility. Policy documents you upload to your client account are sent to the same service to read the policy details. Quote requests sent through an AI assistant reach me the same way, and the assistant’s company (for example OpenAI, for ChatGPT) processes your conversation under its own terms. Questions typed into the site’s search bar are also sent to Anthropic’s Claude to write a general answer; please don’t type personal details there. The quote forms also record anonymous counts of how far visitors get (which question someone was on when they left), without any answers or contact details, so I can make the forms easier. The site also keeps its own visit statistics: which pages are viewed, how long each is on screen and how far it’s scrolled, the site or link a visit came from, whether you tapped to call, text or email, opened the chat or started the quote form, the type of device, browser and screen size, and an approximate city and state worked out from the internet connection. A random code saved in your browser links your visits to each other. It uses no cookies for this, doesn’t store IP addresses, and the statistics aren’t shared. If you send a quote request, the visit you sent it from is linked to your request. I don’t sell your personal information. Reporting ad click results to Google and site activity to Meta can be considered “sharing” for advertising under California law; you can opt out by calling (877) 711-4545 or by using a browser Global Privacy Control signal, which the site honors.
Text messaging and mobile information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver the messages on my behalf. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP. See the SMS Terms.
How I protect it
I keep your information in access-controlled accounts and systems, and only for as long as needed to serve you and meet insurance recordkeeping requirements. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please don’t send Social Security numbers or bank details through the website form.
Your California privacy rights
California residents may have rights under California law, including the California Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act and the California Consumer Privacy Act, to know what personal information I hold about them, to access and correct it, and in some cases to request its deletion. To make a request, call (877) 711-4545 or write to 439 N Canon Dr, Penthouse, Beverly Hills, CA 90210. I’ll verify your identity before acting on a request, and I won’t discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children
This site isn’t directed to children under 16, and I don’t knowingly collect their information online.
Changes
If this policy changes, I’ll post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date.
