Short answer: Idaho gives life insurance and annuity buyers 20 days after delivery to return the policy for a premium refund under Idaho Code 41-1935, longer than the 10 days common elsewhere. Section 41-1904 requires a 30-day grace period for premiums after the first.

20-day free examination
Idaho Code 41-1935 requires covered life policies and annuity contracts to state that you may return the policy within twenty (20) days of delivery and get a refund of the premium. That is longer than the 10 days many states use.
Grace period
Idaho Code 41-1904 sets a thirty (30) day grace window for every renewal premium; an insurer may instead use a calendar month of at least 30 days, and certain industrial policies may use four weeks. Coverage stays active while that window runs.
Using the twenty days well
Put the delivery date somewhere you'll see it. Within those twenty days, compare the issued policy with your application: confirm the owner, the insured, the beneficiaries, the face amount and the premium mode. A mismatch is easiest to fix before the window closes.
