Method and source

Source: the Oregon insurance regulator company list, read 2026-10-18 and the surplus lines list. Admitted = companies in Oregon DFR's 2025 market-share PDFs (property-casualty-totals.pdf plus the per-line PDFs linked from the financial-statements page). Some per-line PDFs (the life ones) still show 2024 data. Only insurers authorized in Oregon appear and companies with zero Oregon premium are excluded, so a licensed company that wrote nothing is missing. Names are NAIC short names (Ins Co, Amer, Natl). type comes from which reports list the company (Property & Casualty first, then Accident & Health, Life, Title); lines are the 'Line of Business' headers of the per-line PDFs the company appears in, spelled as published. since is not published. Surplus lines = SLAOR's eligible insurer listing (current names only; 78 former-name history rows and the 'MISCELLANEOUS - requires prior approval' placeholder dropped). It has no NAIC codes, domicile or eligibility dates, and none of its insurers appear in the DFR market-share PDFs, so naic is empty and must be filled by name in the merge. alien is a heuristic: foreign corporate suffix (Ltd/SE/AG/S.A./DAC/Club...), a US process-agent law firm as the address, or no US city/state/zip on file. "Premium" is direct premium written in the state for the year shown; "share" is that company's part of the state total for the line. A company can be licensed for a line and write none of it, and a surplus lines insurer can write a line without a state license for it.

Need financial guaranty in Oregon?

Someone will insure it. I find who.

Send what you need covered and what happened before. I match it to the companies that take it, down to the last-resort plan if it comes to that. I'm licensed in 48 states and Washington, DC and your request stays with my agency, not passed to another agent. In Florida and Washington, where my licenses are still being issued, a partner agency in your state helps in the meantime.
