Method and source

Source: the Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner and the Surplus Line Association of Washington company list, read 2026-10-17 and the surplus lines list. Washington's authorized list comes from the OIC's 2025 market report (Appendix D), which leaves out authorized companies with no premium that year. Premiums are in thousands. "Premium" is direct premium written in the state for the year shown; "share" is that company's part of the state total for the line. A company can be licensed for a line and write none of it, and a surplus lines insurer can write a line without a state license for it.

Need pet in Washington?

Someone will insure it. I find who.

Send what you need covered and what happened before. I match it to the companies that take it, down to the last-resort plan if it comes to that. I'm licensed in 48 states and Washington, DC and your request stays with my agency, not passed to another agent. In Florida and Washington, where my licenses are still being issued, a partner agency in your state helps in the meantime.
