Surplus lines

What it writes as a surplus lines insurer in Texas

Coverage lines on which Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company filed surplus lines premium with the Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas, January to September 2026, ranked by premium among the insurers that filed on each line. Most surplus lines insurers write nationally, so this is a good guide to what it takes on elsewhere too.

Method and source

Each row comes from the named regulator's public company list on the date shown, joined by NAIC number. "Admitted" means licensed by the state and backed by its guaranty fund; "surplus lines" means eligible to take risks the admitted market declines, without rate or form approval and, except in New Jersey (which has a separate surplus lines guaranty fund), without guaranty fund protection. Premium and rank come from state market share reports that list every company. This is a public-records directory, not a rating or recommendation; for the company's own filings use the NAIC's Consumer Information Source.
